One screenplay. One hundred and twenty pages. One hundred and twenty writers. Each writer continues the story from where the previous writer stopped—adding one permanent page to a film no single mind could create alone.
The project is designed to preserve creative freedom while keeping one continuous, readable screenplay.
Applications start with a short form. Shortlisted applicants are then asked to submit a one-page writing sample for final review.
When their turn arrives, writers receive access to every completed page so the screenplay remains connected.
Each participant writes exactly one professionally formatted screenplay page.
Once submitted, a page cannot be rewritten, removed, or replaced. The next writer must build on it.
The screenplay remains secret, while the world follows the journey from Page 1 to Page 120.
After Page 120 is complete, the screenplay is launched as one global creative event.
Rather than reviewing pages one by one, a dedicated editorial team reviews the complete manuscript once all 120 pages are written, making light edits for continuity and formatting while preserving each writer's original voice and contribution. No one — including the editorial team — sees or influences the story while it is being written. If a writer becomes unavailable during their turn, one of twenty reserve writers steps in so the chain is never broken.
All pages must be written in English, regardless of the writer's home country or primary language.
Once notified that it's their turn, a writer has 48 hours to submit their page. If the deadline passes, the turn automatically transfers to one of the reserve writers.
Every great story begins with a page. But what happens when each page passes from one mind to another—from one country, culture, and creative instinct to the next?
120 Writers is not a competition and not a traditional writing room. It is a collective experiment in trust, consequence, and imagination.
Every writer leaves a permanent mark. A new character may enter. A hero may disappear. A mystery may deepen. The next writer does not erase what came before—they inherit it.
We are not looking only for famous names. We are looking for writers who can add something meaningful, respect the story already built, and leave space for the writer who follows.
One story. One page each. One hundred and twenty minds creating something none of them could have written alone.
Write under real narrative constraints and continue a living screenplay shaped by many voices.
Your name will be permanently credited as one of the official writers of Season One.
Fifty percent of the project’s defined net revenues will be allocated equally among participating writers, subject to the final agreement.
Join writers from different countries, backgrounds, and levels of professional experience.
Submit the short application form. Applications close on a fixed date, announced at launch.
The editorial team and reading panel select the 120 writers, plus 20 reserves, and notify everyone by email.
Each writer receives their page number and a submission window once it's their turn in the sequence.
Writers submit one page at a time, in order, until Page 120 is complete.
All 120 writers sign the official participation and revenue-sharing agreement before the screenplay is finalized.
The complete screenplay is launched as one global creative event, with every writer credited.
We welcome professional screenwriters, emerging writers, and undiscovered talent. Fill out the short form below to apply—no fame or industry status required. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to submit a one-page writing sample as a final step.
Twenty additional writers may be selected as reserves to ensure the story continues if a participant becomes unavailable.
